I'm gonna keep trying different stuff to see if it helps me. Lately I've been drinking milk kefir from cows and goats which I love and is apparently really nutritious. I'm about to join a local raw milk delivery service, so I can try out their raw milk kefir which is the ultimate healthy kefir.
I've also heard about organic sulfur crystals, which can apparently help both detox and the digestive tract become healthier. So I might try that soon.
I'm also probably going to go completely off grains for hopefully 6 months, to try to help my digestion heal including leaky gut.
I'm testing my thyroid right now, my doc thinks that it's not working optimally.
I'm getting tested for an autoimmune condition that is relatively common and can contribute to chronic fatigue, it is called mycoplasma.
I've been eating more spinach, arugula, and baby kales recently. These have good enzymes as well as being nutrient dense. They can help digest meats and other stuff that is tougher to digest.
I'm also trying to go to the gym a few times a week, to build some muscle (hopefully), lower my body fat %, and use the sauna (for detox).
I've been taking some different kinds of homeopathy to help with managing emotions, we'll see if they have beneficial effects.
That's about it for now. Curious if other people are trying different things? A lot of this is about experimenting I think.

sounds good mate. what homeopathy methods are you using to manage those emotions? i'm trying to keep on top of mine as well. myself, i partially detoxed for 4 days in january. no meat, no dairy, (except egg whites in the morning), nothing apart from fruit, veg, water, dry bran flakes, some grilled fish. after the 4 days was up i definitely felt more energetic and more alert. in feb i attempted some yoga postures (just messing about with this stuff at the minute really) which i'm gonna persevere with. this month i've started lifting weights again and upping my protein/carbs intake so i can start to bulk up. i've taken a step back from heavy reading and researching so far this year, gonna start to put into practise some of the stuff i've read and learned. i found myself getting into the habbit of reading and reading and reading, getting high on all this info and not putting into practise what i've learned. this year i'm doing the work, although i'll also be more active on the forums. one thing i have been tapping into are this dudes videos on youtube. www.youtube.com/metalmotivation dunno if anyones seen this guy before but although the stuff appears gimmicky it's really good stuff, really getting me motivated. it probably does help that i'm into metal but still - good stuff.

The homeopathy was some stuff that you can get at whole foods. My doc has suggested some stuff for me as well, which is also supposed to detox vaccines that I got when I was very young that might be causing me problems.
Have you tried gluten free or even grain free? Gluten free is super important for me, I couldn't function very well if I didn't do gf.
I'm more into eating low carbs, like the paleo diet. Look into that if you haven't. It's for people that feel like eating beef/meats etc is good. Clean, grass fed beef is the best of course in terms of beef.
For me, I'm focusing on improving my digestion and trying to stay patient with improving my health. I've been able to get some good emotions going this year so that's promising.

Further update: I've been doing raw/fresh dairy products such as yogurt/kefir/buttermilk etc. That stuff seems pretty healthy, and I think it helps give me a bit more energy and focus and nutrients b/c the products are fresh and not pasteurized. They are also really good for digestion with the probiotics and enzymes.
Also I've been drinking kombucha which is fermented from mushrooms I think. You can buy it at your health food store. Helps to give me focus and energy too.

Great to hear from you Jurriaan, good luck with your hospital visit!
Yep I am enjoying trying out different foods. One main factor is still the hypoglycemic basis of no sugar/processed carbs, can't go wrong with avoiding that stuff.
And part of me just thinks I need to be patient and keep eating healthy and wait for my digestion to heal. By this september 2012 it will have been 2 years since I changed my diet. My main concern is to heal my GI system, and i've heard that for every year a person has had leaky gut it takes a month to heal. I believe that I have had leaky gut my whole life, so I think it might be necessary for at least 2 years to heal everything.
